Baptism
Is the outward sign of becoming a member in the faith community. This is the true sign of being in Christ. We believe in infant baptism. We also believe in baptizing adults at any age whenever the occasion requires it. We are willing to perform immersion baptism if it is requested. For more information about Baptism, please contact us by phone, by email (information@tonawandaumc.org) or through our Contact Page.
Weddings
We are pleased that God has brought you to Tonawanda and that this will be the place where you will be sharing your vows of holy matrimony. We pray that your wedding will be a witness to God’s glory and will reflect your sincere desire to be an obedient disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that a wedding is not only a union between a man and a woman, but even more, is an act of worship. As such, your wedding is both a joyful and solemn occasion. We want you to be prepared spiritually for the event.
For more information or to schedule your event, please contact us by phone, by email (information@tonawandaumc.org) or through our Contact Page.
Funerals
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
Losing a loved one is never easy, but it helps to have people surround you with love and comfort during your grieving. We believe that the local church is a family of believers designed to do just that, which means your family here at Tonawanda exists to help you through this difficult season. We are available to aid in planning and conducting services in memorial of your loved one.
